Disaster Response Team Check List

1.Personal and miscellaneous
- Bible
- Spiral notebook or other journal material. (Pen)
- Camera- Coordinate with other team members.
- Tools; Take personal tools such as hammer, rule nail apron, Pencil and work gloves if you use them. (Specific tools may be required for different projects)
- Glasses: Extra prescription glasses if you have them. Sun glasses will usually come in handy.
- Toilet Items: Hand soap, tooth paste, deodorant, toilet tissue (take extra) small mirror. Shampoo. And any other personal needs
- Flashlight and extra batteries (turn the batteries around for travel or remove them from your flashlight.
- Snack food- While traveling and during your stay.(You will want to share)
- Kool-Aid or Gatorade for on site use
2. Medical
- Tetanus: Must be up to date.
- Insects: Any good repellant (100% Deet is best) Skin so soft(Avon) After bite or Sting Kill for insect bites
- Personal Medication: Prescription medications should be
Clearly marked and in original container.
1. Tylenol, Bufferin, or Aspirin
2. Anti Diarrhea medication
3. First aid supplies: Band-Aid bandages, antiseptic
- Hand sanitizer (water to wash hands)
- Canteen or water bottle for on site use (most drinking water will be prepared for you)
- Sunscreen
3. Clothing and linens:
- Ample changes of socks and underwear for the time frame that you will be serving
- Work clothing: long pants or jeans are recommended. Shorts are acceptable for evening wear. Shorts are also acceptable if your assignment is indoors
- Swim suit: for taking showers
- Sunday Clothes: casual dress if you are on site for Sunday worship or mid-week services
- Towels and linen: You will be expected to bring your own.
- Hat or cap for sun.
- Comfortable work shoes or work boots (extra shoes in case of dampness)
- Appropriate clothes for sleeping
4. Sleeping gear
- Air mattress and/or sleeping bag
- Sheets and pillow
5. Insurance: Required for everyone Please take your insurance cards with you
6. Other travel preparation: Just like any other trip, do not take more credit cards and other papers in your wallet than you need. Keep your wallet and money on your person at all times
7. Smoking. Don’t blow your witness
