Disaster Response Tools & Equipment
Background
Looking at the current and future service of Moravians in disaster response, there is a need to have the proper equipment and tools to support our teams in the field.
The Salem Congregation Board of Trustees provided a generous grant of $65,000 to purchase a truck, trailer and some equipment. The Board of Evangelism and Home Mission contributed an additional $5,000 to this fund. The truck has been in service since December 2005. The trailer will be delivered in late January 2006.
A volunteer team has been formed to purchase tools and be responsible for upkeep of disaster response equipment as well.
The Board of World Mission and the Board of Evangelism and Home Missions invites congregations, groups, and individuals throughout North America to contribute toward providing the tools and equipment for the Moravian Disaster Response program.
How To Help
View the list of the tools and equipment needed. Please share this list with the groups or people who may be interested in supporting this ministry.
There are two options:
• Purchase and donate the actual tools or equipment.
• Donate the amount listed (or a portion) as the purchase price.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Before purchasing tools or making a donation, please contact Mark Ebert, Director of Volunteer Ministries, Board of World Mission.
Mark will be keeping track of this tool list and what has been donated or pomised so that we don’t wind up with 80 hammers instead of 8!
