Prayers Requested for Haiti

Subject: Moravian Volunteer Resource's Response to the Earthquake in Haiti
To my dear sisters and brothers,
News of the earthquake in Haiti has reached us in Ahuas, Honduras and we have immediately started to prayfor those that have been affected by this disaster! I know you have began to pray and ask yourselves what else you can do to help relieve the suffering that this has brought on. I would first ask you to continue to pray, pray for all victims, those families that have lost loved ones, those that continue to search for loved ones and pray for the injured that God's healing hand will be upond them. Also pray for all of the first responders that will continue to flow into Haiti over the next few weeks and months, they will need as much support as we can give them at this time!There will be much that these people will
have to do before we as Moravian Volunteer Resourses will be able to respond the the Haitian people in person.
Until then, if you hear The Spirit saying give financially , please give to the organization of your choice or to organizations that have
been suggested by our church leadership. We have used a number of these organizations in the past, Samaritans Purse, Lutheran Disaster Response, Red Cross, Church World Service, and many others that can be easily accessed by the Internet. Please know that there are a number of scams that will draw many to give so please, if you give, give to someone we know and recommend.
As I travel back from Honduras I will continue to monitor this situation and continue to inform you of our future intentions to relieve suffering and restore hope to this nation. Let us continue to be faithful to what our Savior has charged us to do, Matthew 25:31-46.
